GREAT SUCCESS!  Thanks to the generous support of our donors, Denver for Darfur raised enough money through our Augugust 26th Willie Nelson VIP event to send a container filled with $400,000 worth of donated medical supplies to Darfur!  THANK YOU to all those who helped!

UPDATE: Willie Nelson has agreed to meet with four lucky fans backstage!  Read about it in Penny Parker’s column in the Rocky Mountain News.  Also Adam Sterling, the Director of the Sudan Divestment Task Force and star of DARFUR NOW, will come to the VIP reception to discuss the horrific situation in Darfur and ways that individuals can help make a difference.  And we’ve added a Silent Auction featuring artwork by the Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood.

In the midst of terrible violence and genocide, the people of the Darfur region in Sudan also face a desperate shortage of medical supplies.  That’s why Denver for Darfur has partnered with Project C.U.R.E. for an exclusive VIP event before the August 26th Willie Nelson concert at Red Rocks during the week of the Democratic National Convention.

Project C.U.R.E. collects donated medical supplies from across the country and only has to pay shipping costs.  That means that for every $1 you donate, Project C.U.R.E. can deliver $20 worth of medical supplies to Darfur!

AEG Live, the concert's promoter, has set aside a limited number of premium concert seats and we have reserved the Red Rocks Visitors Center for our pre-show VIP event.  Tickets include a premium seat at the concert and entrance to the VIP event which includes food and beverage.
